A Good Cup

CA can stand for Coffee Addict, because I am.

I used to frequent Off Roads Coffee at F. Cabahug St., Cebu City. And them closing up last month was a shocker and was quite depressing. I started asking myself, “Where am I supposed to go on the weekends now?” Off Roads was a go-to place and always a top a mind for me. It has been a place for solace, comfort, and convenience for as long as I can remember. Well, it always happens in life. We tend to get used to something that can suddenly disappear and we are left at a loss for words and direction. But, we have to decide to move on because we don’t really have a choice anyway. As they say, life goes on.

So, one day, I’ve decided to post a shoutout on Facebook asking for an alternative to Off Roads Coffee

Lo and behold, I was directed to The Good Cup Coffee Company at F. Ramos St., Cebu City. Big thanks to my friends Nicky Brion and Kaye Homecillo for the recommendation.

Their crew was decent and quite friendly.

I am a breakfast-food person so I was very happy to find rice meals with choices of either baconsilog, spamsilog, or chorisilog. The best part is that they only cost 160 pesos. You just need to add 40 pesos for a very good cup of either hot or cold Americano.

I stayed upstairs to start working on my blog.

However, I was only able to accomplish my logo at that time. Truly grateful for my Quality Control go-to-person, Cha Esper. If you like my logo, she’s a huge part of that. You might as well like her, too. And I was surprised to find out that they have a Coffee Academy on the second floor. I’ve overheard the discussion inside, no I was not eavesdropping. It seems to me that they will educate you about the different types of coffee beans, temperature in brewing or something like that, and the art of making a good cup of coffee itself. I might just check it out one of these days. After all, I’m a coffee lover ever since I was young. Blame my Mom who used to make sweet coffee for me every morning. Thus, my petite stature.

I had a good 6 hours at the cafe, and had a wonderful time there.

Check my photos out, to get a glimpse of the feels inside The Good Cup Coffee Company. I suggest that you might as well get your very own experience of it. And tell me how it goes for you at the comment section below. Would love to hear from you.

A good coffee shop can definitely be a lifesaver for those of us who work from home and need to get out to get some inspiration! I also know many of my clients like to meet at a coffee shop to get a change of pace from meeting at home. I am glad you found somewhere great to go!

If you love coffee, you should travel here in Australia especially in Melbourne, where there are over 6000 local coffee shops. Starbucks doesn’t flourish here apparently, Aussies think it is rubbish.

I am a coffee addict. Covid has really slowed down how much i spend on coffee outside of the home. However my husband also just bought a new kuerig for me so I am kind of hooked on it!
